Introduction
Studio in a School (Studio NYC) aims to enrich young lives through visual arts programs directed by arts professionals both in and outside of schools. Under the Burberry Inspire program, Studio NYC worked with Bronx Writing Academy and Intermediate School 582 in Brooklyn on Imaginary Journeys and Landscapes during the 2019-20 school year. In 2020-2021, Studio NYC partnered with Kappa III in the Bronx and Middle School 358 in Queens to explore Inspired Places. Throughout both years, students made in-person and virtual museum visits, worked with artists during the school day and after school, created portfolios for high school applications, and did a lot of remote learning. Studio NYC offered visual art workshops in multiple media, both live and virtual, and was grateful for the wonderful collaboration with The Hepworth Wakefield in co-creating and sharing resources.
