Introduction
Reel Works mentors, inspires and empowers underserved NYC youth to share their stories through filmmaking, creating a springboard to successful careers in media and beyond.
In 2020 and 2021, as part of the Burberry Inspire program, Reel Works partnered with Highland Park Community School, JHS 123, MS 582 and Bronx Writing Academy to reach new student storytellers. Across all four schools in the past two years, Reel Works students have studied and discussed different kinds of film, attended screenings, and created their own documentaries to capture their Inspired Places and Inspired Journeys. See the links below for a digital Film Festival of student work from this past year, and resources to tell your own stories.

About this video
Celebrate the amazing students who were able to connect and collaborate virtually through Burberry Inspire!
Students from around the city came together and learned filmmaking, film history, and flipbook animation. This clip highlights some student work, and more will uploaded to the Reel Works YouTube Channel over the summer!
