🌟 Celebrating Rosanna’s Remarkable Achievement! 🌟
We’re incredibly proud to share that @rosannammachado , one of our amazing Supergroup members, has been appointed Lieutenant of the Royal Victorian Order (LVO) for her outstanding work on the Platinum Jubilee of Her Late Majesty The Queen. 👑
With 25 years of experience in the events industry, Rosanna has always valued the power of emotional intelligence in building strong relationships and navigating challenges. From March 2021 to March 2023, she served as CEO of the Platinum Jubilee Pageant, orchestrating a once-in-a-lifetime event to honor 70 years of dedicated service and to look forward to a shared future.
Rosanna’s vision for the Pageant was not just to create an unforgettable celebration, but to leave a lasting legacy that positively impacted communities. Her passion for event direction, team coaching, and making a difference shines through in everything she does.
As Rosanna says: “Connection is at the heart of everything I do—connecting with kindness, creativity, integrity, and respect. When I fully connect, I come alive and have the greatest impact in what I do.”
Congratulations, Rosanna, on this incredible achievement! 🎉. It was through Rosanna that the Ideas Foundation was commissioned to run a fabulous outreach projects where students from across the country created digital posters celebrating the themes of kindness and community that were so valued by the lat Queen. Working with Canon and Clear Channel, the posters were displayed across the UK on the Platinum Jubilee weekend of celebrations receiving values of kindness reaching over 7 million views.

Space is full of endless potential, inspiring dreams and encouraging us to embrace the unknown. 🌌
In celebration of World Space Week, we’re reflecting on the incredible work of Dr. Helen Mason OBE and the SunSpaceArt project, funded by STFC. During her classroom visits, she showed how science and creativity can come together to create something truly inspiring. 🌞🎨. Central to the project is working with artists and educators such as Clare Dudeney, Geraldine Cox, Emma Wride, Helen Schell and others. The recent evaluation report written by Charlotte Thorley and education resources can be downloaded from the activities section on https://www.sunspaceart.org
This project is part of the wider ‘Creating Connections’ programme, promoting wellbeing in young people through the power of creativity. The project evolved from an earlier project called Media Space where students created magazines, I books and art installations themed around solar physics.

Join us for our online event led by award winning coach Kate Lander where you can train as a mentor with the Ideas Foundation! This is a fantastic opportunity to make a difference in the lives of aspiring creatives. Learn valuable skills, share your knowledge, and inspire the next generation of talent. We are looking for volunteers to be a role model and mentor and who are available to offer three online one hour one to one mentoring sessions from October to November 2024. The students are aged 16 - 19 studying level three qualifications in business and creative and media subjects including animation, film and tv, games design. There is an opportunity for face to face mentoring if you are able to visit the Manchester College campus.

🌍 Black History Month: Reclaiming Narratives 🌍
This year, we’re celebrating Black History Month by focusing on Reclaiming Narratives – stories that define culture, contribution, and identity. At Ideas Foundation, we’re proud to collaborate with @PanteneUK on the #PowerOfHair creative workshops, empowering students to discuss and combat Afro hair discrimination.
Through poetry, science, humanities, and marketing, we’ve created a space where children can tell their own stories and embrace hair confidence. The result? Honest conversations that celebrate Afro hair, while educating students on the impact of discrimination and self-esteem.

✨ A Night to Remember at the Creative Floor Awards 2024 ✨
We were thrilled to attend the @thecreativefloorawards last night, celebrating the world’s best creative work and talent in healthcare communications. This event is more than just awards—it’s about inspiring greater diversity and unlocking untapped talent in health and wellness communication agencies.
We spent the evening meeting some wonderful people and being inspired by fantastic campaigns such as Alopecia Mirror, Dogs without Borders, Throwaway Comments and I am Not Just Black, Skin of Colour Society.
Last year, we were honoured to receive the Talent and Diversity Fund, and the impact has been incredible. The funds have enabled us to bring creative learning experiences to those who need them most, making a real difference in social mobility and improving life chances.

The Ideas Foundation works with young people to co-create campaigns that raise awareness about image issues and the importance of research, including Queen Mary University of London`s Magenta Project, to reach broader audiences.
One of our alumni, @shafiaa_z has created an illustration to highlight this message. Shafia explains: "With this piece, I aimed to deliver a bold and straightforward message: pollution impacts the most vulnerable - those we cannot see, like a baby growing in its mother`s womb. Babies and children are particularly sensitive to environmental hazards, making this issue all the more urgent to address.
It has been a pleasure to collaborate with the Ideas Foundation once again, especially in support of @officialqmul on this vital project."

We`re starting this month by celebrating incredible women like @drtinachowdhury from @officialqmul, who has dedicated her summer to organising an international conference focused on the impact of pollution on the health and life chances of mothers, babies, and other vulnerable populations. Thanks to funding from the Royal Academy of Engineering, @ideasfoundation has had the privilege of helping to tell the stories of the biomedical engineers working tirelessly behind the scenes to reduce health inequalities.
Today, the #BioMedEng24 conference will feature panel speakers including Anna David, Jonathan Grigg, and Andrew Prendergast, who are all at the forefront of innovation in this field.
