Space to Earth Challenge reaches new heights

The Space to Earth Challenge was developed with youth insights from an Ideas Hack in 2016 led by design thinking expert Lydia Thornley. The creative work and outreach programme that it inspired led to over 50,000 children getting fit alongside astronaut Tim Peake as part of the Principia programme.

The partnership with the Tri Trust has gone from strength to strength and the project relaunched on Monday January 22 with a new theme of earth observation. Tim Peake has already been supporting the programme on social media which will reach over 15,000 children before the end of April. Paralympian Lauren Steadman and Scientist Anna Hobbs from Leeds University are our science and fitness champions for this new challenge.
